First day of school!

Students are back!

It's hard to describe the energy and buzz that fills the air when students return to school. The building comes alive again!  First day of school, first day of school . . . I can't say these words without chanting it like Nemo did in the Disney film, probably because my girls watched Finding Nemo at least 1,052 times!

Best wishes for a wonderful school year!

Upcoming Events
Monday, September 4th:  Labor Day - No School
Tuesday, September 5th: First day of school - 10:13 am dismissal
Wednesday, September 6th: Full day of school - 2:08 pm dismissal
Thursday, September 7th: P-CEP Open House 6-8:30 pm*
Friday, September 8th:

* OPEN HOUSE DETAILS: You will follow your student's schedule during the evening so, please, wear comfortable shoes. If you forget to bring your child's schedule, please stop by the media center and Mr. Jones, the PHS Media Specialist, can print one for you.

Also, the Class of 2018 will be collecting Kleenex boxes, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes during Open House at the main entrances at each of the three buildings. The items will then be distributed to teachers. During cold season it is not unusual to go through a box, per classroom, per day, and this cost quickly adds up. Please consider donating what you can!

Hi, my name is Ray Miller and I am entering my first year as a mathematics teacher at Plymouth High School. This year I will be teaching Geometry and Problem Solving. This will be my third year as an educator, prior to PHS I taught middle school and high school math at Trenton Public Schools. I graduated from Central Michigan University in 2015.

Personal goals of mine are to wake up every morning with a positive attitude, strive to improve my craft, make learning enjoyable, and put my students in the best possible situation for success.

Outside of teaching, I am the Head Coach for Plymouth's Boys Varsity Lacrosse team. Last season was my first season and I am proud that we accomplished the best record, highest end of the year ranking, and furthest playoff run in the 10 year program's history. In my spare time I enjoy playing sports, spending time with family/friends, and walking my two Siberian Huskies—Luna and Congo.

Five words to describe my classroom would be safe, caring, academic, enjoyable, and relatable.

Did you know that we have a lot of academic resources to support students? First and foremost, the very best resource will be your child’s teacher. Please encourage your child to talk to their teachers if they need assistance. You can also contact teachers directly using their email address or phone number (link on the right.) However, the Park also has math labs, a writing center and a chemistry lab available to support students during lunch. The Plymouth Media Center is also open for student use Mondays from 2:30-3:30 pm and Wednesdays from 2:30 - 4:00 pm. Salem Media Center will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 - 4:00 pm. Canton Media Center will be open on Tuesdays.
